Capturing the Memories You Will Live With for Decades

Seattle Engagement Photography

Because No Two Stories Are The Same

When your engagement session is designed around who you are, it feels relaxed and natural — free from the awkward "what do we do with our hands" energy.

We hang out for a bit. I give gentle direction. You forget the camera is there.

The result is photos that feel like you, not like a Pinterest board you tried to recreate.
It's your warm-up before the wedding. Most couples have never been professionally photographed together. This is where you learn what feels natural — without the pressure of your wedding day timeline.

It's a gallery you'll actually use. Save-the-dates, your wedding website, holiday cards, the wall behind your couch.

It's a date night. I'm serious. Couples spend the whole session laughing, holding each other, and being affectionate. It's the best date night you'll have all year.

It builds trust between us. By your wedding day, the camera feels familiar. Being present in your day comes naturally because we already know each other.

Where Your Engagement Session Could Happen

Seattle is spoiled for engagement session locations — coastal, urban, alpine, garden, beach, forest, downtown rooftops, you name it. I'll suggest the right spot based on your vibe and the season. Here are a few favorites:
  • Discovery Park — bluffs, beach, lighthouse, forest
  • Carkeek Park — Puget Sound views, driftwood beach
  • Volunteer Park — polished gardens, conservatory
  • Mount Rainier — for couples who want a real mountain backdrop
  • Gas Works Park — Seattle skyline, industrial-chic
  • Your favorite neighborhood, coffee shop, or hiking trail.

My Approach

The most meaningful photographs come from a sense of comfort and trust. Let's choose a setting that reflects you and approach the session with intention.

This lets the experience feel easy while the images stay deeply personal.

By the wedding day, the camera will feel familiar — and being fully present while it's around will come naturally.

Frequently Asked Questions

Earthy tones, layers, things you actually feel good in. Skip neon and giant logos. I send a full outfit guide once you book — and you can also see my complete what-to-wear guide here.

What should we wear?

Yes — especially with The Adventure collection. We can do an urban + nature combo, or any other mix that fits your vision.

Can we do multiple locations?

We embrace it. Some of my favorite Seattle engagement photos have happened in the rain. (But if it's truly unsafe, we reschedule.)

What if it rains?

Within 2-4 weeks of your session. Each image is individually edited.

How long until I get my photos?

Yes. Mount Rainier, the San Juans, the coast — anywhere in the PNW. Travel beyond a 2-hour radius may include a small travel fee.

Do you travel outside Seattle?

Please. Dogs make the photos better, full stop.

Can we bring our dog?

4-6 months out is ideal, especially if you want a peak summer date.

How far in advance should I book?

Most couples book 8-10 months before the wedding so the photos arrive in time for save-the-dates.

When during our engagement should we shoot?
