Having lived in Ballard, I used to drive by the construction of Cathedral, wondering what it would eventually become. I couldn’t have been more excited when I finally realized it was a venue! The energy of the space immediately drew me in—the mix of industrial elements like exposed brick, dark iron, and modern lighting created such a captivating vibe. I knew it would be the perfect place for an unforgettable winter elopement.

Getting Ready at Hotel Ballard

The couple chose to get ready at Hotel Ballard, which is another one of my favorite spots in the area. Whether you’re hosting a rehearsal dinner, having an intimate wedding, or preparing for your big day, Hotel Ballard offers such an elegant and welcoming space. The couple’s first look took place on the rooftop, which was magical with the snow-covered city in the background.

Before meeting her groom, the bride had a first look with her closest friends at Hotel Ballard. Her cream fur coat added the perfect winter touch. She then met her groom alone on the hotel’s rooftop for an intimate first look. The way he looked at her was absolutely priceless. Afterward, they left Hotel Ballard and walked over to Cathedral to celebrate their elopement with friends and family. Those private moments before the celebration are always some of my favorites to capture.

After the first look, we made our way to Cathedral, where the couple’s family and friends gathered to celebrate their love. The venue’s industrial charm and modern touches were the perfect backdrop for their intimate winter elopement. The snowy streets of Ballard outside only added to the magic of the day, giving everything a warm and cozy atmosphere despite the winter chill.
