Photographing a vintage farmhouse wedding is always a delightful experience. Recently, I had the joy of capturing the special day of two college friends at Sundara in Roanoke, Virginia. This venue is whimsical and garden-like, providing a perfect backdrop for their wedding.
I introduced this lovely couple, so they honored me with a nameplate that read “matchmaker.” It was a heartwarming gesture that added a personal touch to the celebration. Traveling back to Virginia for their wedding was a wonderful experience, allowing me to reconnect with old friends and create lasting memories.
The bride’s choice to wear her mother’s wedding dress was especially meaningful. Handmade by her grandmother, the dress was adorned with beautiful lace details that added a vintage charm to the day. The intricate lacework and timeless design of the dress were perfect for the vintage farmhouse wedding theme.
The garden-like setting of Sundara enhanced the romantic and whimsical atmosphere of the wedding. Surrounded by lush greenery and blooming flowers, the couple exchanged vows in a picturesque setting. The natural beauty of the venue complemented the vintage aesthetic perfectly.
Overall, photographing this vintage farmhouse wedding was a highlight of my year. The combination of a beautiful venue, meaningful traditions, and the love between the couple made it an unforgettable experience. I am grateful to have been a part of their special day and to have captured these precious moments.
