Recently, I felt like I needed to make something creative in the studio. After loosely discussing a plan, I grabbed my friend Stephanie and we headed out for some creative portraits in studio! We shot at The Studios at Pioneer Square (the same studio from this session with Jaki).
In the morning, I stopped by Pike Place Market and grabbed from fresh blooms. This may be one of the most idealistic Seattle sentences I have ever said. A viral trend at the time was nestling florals into clothing and Steph had just bought these great vegan leather pants from Aritzia.
We cut the stems of the flowers and positioned them in the lining of her pants. I had to work quickly as the flowers didn’t take long to starting drooping! I really loved the angles that Steph created with her body and how tall she looked in the photos!
As we were getting ready to leave, I noticed the disco ball in the corner and thought playing with it for a minute might be fun! We were able to use it to catch some of the light and position it on her face or on the wall.
